A Fortitude Valley apartment project is more than 50% pre-sold in the weeks after its launch as buyers vie for a slice of the inner-city tower.
The $180 million Utopia tower, launched to the market in late September, has sold 158 apartments to date and will rise 25 levels above Wickham Street.
Sandt Developments sales manager Jeanette Jensen said the swift sales reflected buyers’ urgency to purchase.
“The location is a strong selling point but Utopia is really set apart by its unique façade and apartment features,” she said.
“It is visually striking and has forward thinking features such as enclosable balconies and nano-coated glass technology which will reduce UV rays in apartments by 99%.
“Buyers see the real value-add in this as it will provide necessary sun protection and will also reduce energy costs due to thermal insulation.”
Ms Jensen said Utopia was gaining traction with a range of buyer groups.
“Overseas buyers and locals alike appreciate the blue chip nature of the site,” Ms Jensen said.
“Both local and international buyers are being drawn in to the aesthetic features of the tower and the luxurious nature of the apartments too.”
Sandt Developments development manager Bill Wang said significant thought had gone into the design of common area spaces to create a sought after lifestyle address.
“With a recreation deck featuring an infinity pool, steam room, gym, sauna and reading room, Utopia offers relaxation befitting of its name,” he said.
“The rooftop garden offers a more social atmosphere with an open-air cinema, yoga lawn, open air kitchen, barbecue area, extensive planting and an alfresco dining area.”
Utopia is the first in a number of Brisbane projects by Sandt developments, headed by Bill Wang and backed by a consortium of foreign investors.
Utopia will comprise 300 high-end apartments primarily aimed at owner-occupiers and investors and will commence construction in the coming months.
The tower is earmarked to be constructed on a site at 275 Wickham Street, just two blocks from Brunswick Street Mall in the centre of the emerging lifestyle precinct.
Utopia’s one-bedroom apartments are priced from $399,000 while the two-bedroom configurations are priced from $580,000.
The project’s sales office is located on-site and features a full two-bedroom display suite with plenty of parking available.
